It’s a strange time for Kent’s running community; however, our friends at Kent Parks remain committed to doing something fun for local runners and walkers so families can get out, get active, and have (safe) fun together!

Beginning Oct. 5, 2020, they’ll be holding a month-long event: the Kent Parks Fall Classic. Each week they’ll feature a new challenge; participants can email in their photos or results to be featured on their social media accounts or win some great prizes.

“While we cannot come together for one large event, you can get out on your own time to tackle the course! Our hope is to make it an annual 5k run/walk next year.”

The 5k course starts and stops at Three Friends Fishing Hole, located at 20025 Russell Road (map below). The starting line is directly behind the wood sculpture on the trail. Miles and turnaround will be marked with signs. We’ll post the course map soon – 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙏𝙪𝙣𝙚𝙙!

    • 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 (𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴/𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴)
Submit your course time! The fastest time takes home an I Love Kent Parks t-shirt.
    • 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿!
Early birds, this one is for you! Show us how early you hit the course. Don’t worry, we don’t judge hair or morning breath!
    • 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻!
Circle up your family for some fun. Take a family picture on the course, write a poem about Kent Parks together, share how many times you’ve enjoyed the course during the week together, or submit a photo of your favorite part of the course.
    • 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁!
Hit the course in your best Halloween costume and submit a picture! Can you imagine 4 T-Rex’s on the course at the same time?!

  1. Good morning, I am looking for a public walking/jogging track in Kent. I would like a more controlled walking location due to being a beginner. Any information would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
