Kent’s 2019 ‘Christmas Rush’ 5 and 10K runs will be Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at Hogan Park on Russell Road:

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019

- Registration opens at 8 a.m.
- 10k starts at 9:50 a.m.
- 5k starts at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Hogan Park at Russell Road

Registration Information:

- $15 without shirt (After December 7th $25)
- $30 with a shirt

Shirt order deadline: Thurs. Nov. 14, 2019.

Registration closes at midnight on December 12. There is day of race registration.

Dogs and Strollers
While we love to see your pups, we’ve decided that its best that they stay at home during the Christmas Rush. The number of people on the course and the tight quarters at the start lead us to the decision. We just don’t need anyone getting caught up in a leash out on the course.

We do allow strollers. We simply ask that you position yourself appropriately at that start.

Volunteers

Volunteering at the Rush is a fun way to start the day and see some impressive runners and walkers up close. Your morning will start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 11:15. Tasks include helping on the course as a marshal, working a mile split or assisting with water and gift bag distribution.

VOLUNTEER FORM

10k Course
The 10k runners will do a big loop. Runners will start on Russell Road and head south to Meeker St. and turn right. Once over the bridge, turn north on Frager Road and run to 212th. At 212th turn right to go over the river and then turn right again to head south on Russell Road. Follow Russell Road to finish located in front of city shops building on 240th.

5k Course
The 5k course is a modified out and back. Runners will start on Russell Road and head south to Meeker St. and turn right. Once over the bridge, turn north on to Frager Road remembering to stay on the left side of the road. (Running clockwise) Turn around at the appropriate spot and stay to your left side on the return trip. Runners will turn left and go over foot bridge that leads to golf course. Once over foot bridge, turn north on to the trail along the river. Follow to finish located in front of city shops building on 240th.

Please note: If you pre-register and the race is canceled due to issues beyond our control such as weather or road conditions, your registration fee may not be refunded. We will make every effort to transfer your registration to a future Kent Parks Department race.
