The Kent Police Department is investigating a motorcycle fatality collision that occurred in the 26300 block of Pacific Hwy S.

Police say that at 10:47 pm Tuesday night (Oct. 15), Kent officers were dispatched to a traffic collision at the 26300 block of Pacific Highway S. (map below).

Officers arrived on scene to find a downed motorcyclist. Lifesaving efforts were immediately started by the responding officers, until Puget Sound RFA arrived to take over efforts.

Sadly, the 46-year old male rider from Tacoma succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary information by witnesses indicate that the lone motorcycle rider was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Pacific Hwy S when he swerved, struck the curb, and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Kent Police traffic investigators are currently investigating the circumstances that contributed to the collision.
