The 10th Annual Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Festival – presented by the Rotary of Des Moines/Normandy Park – will be rockin’ Des Moines Beach Park on Saturday, Aug. 24!

This year they’re featuring ‘Women Who Rock the Blues’ – the Stacy Jones Band, Polly O’Keary and the Rhythm Method, Lisa Mann and the Karen Lively Band.

To complement your blues they will be featuring over 15 local breweries and  a variety of fine foods.

The Festival will be located on the shores of Puget Sound at the Des Moines Beach Park. This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine, you must be 21 or older to attend and no pets will be allowed inside the event.

No outside food or beverages allowed. Low lawn chairs and picnic blankets allowed.  There will be plenty of parking (paid in the marina with a maximum price of $6.00) with a free shuttle circulating on a regular basis. While you are in town, you might want to also visit the Des Moines Farmer’s Market.

Tickets are $35 in advance; $40 at the gate. Six tasting tokens included with the price of admission. All beer tastings are one Token! Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and the financial support of club members,  100% of the net proceeds support the Des Moines Rotary’s charitable projects..

This event is powered by many civic-minded businesses and will feature world-class blues performances and dozens/ciders/wines/spirits from some of the best craft brewers in the Northwest!

  • GATES OPEN AT NOON
  • Blues will be playing and Beers will be pouring until 8 p.m.
  • You must be 21 or older to attend.
  • There will be plenty of parking (and a shuttle to/from) in the Des Moines Marina.
  • While you are in town, you might want to visit the Des Moines Farmer’s Market (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.).
