The Kent Police Department announced this week that new Red Light Traffic Cameras have been installed at three intersections for future enforcement.

This is Phase 1 of two Phases.

A 30-day warning period will begin on Saturday, July 13. During this warning period, violators will receive a written warning via the mail. This warning period will be in effect through Aug. 11. After 30 days, violators will receive a $136 infraction via the mail.

Below are the approaches and intersections that the Phase 1 Red Light Traffic Cameras cover:

    • Central Ave and Smith St – covering the northbound and southbound approaches.
    • Central Ave and James St – covering the northbound and the eastbound approaches.
    • Kent Des Moines Rd and Pacific Hwy S – covering the eastbound approach.
