Have you taken the self-guided historic downtown walking tour yet?

With help from the Kent Historical Society and Kent Downtown Partnership, the city now has a historic downtown walking tour.

This self-guided tour will take you to 13 different downtown properties, each with a history of its own.

Check out some of these cool stops:

    • Bouldron Building at 214 W. Meeker St., built in 1935
    • Bank of Kent Building, southwest corner of Meeker Street and First Avenue, build in 1891
    • Carnation Milk Building on Meeker Street between First Avenue South and Second Avenue South, built in the last 1890s
    • Berlin Brothers General Merchandise, 100 Railroad Ave. S. at Meeker St, opened in 1890
    • First National Bank, southwest corner of First Avenue South and Gowe Street, opened 1901

Visit the Experience Historical Kent GIS project online to see before and after photos and read the history of each property.
