Kent Police/Valley SWAT raid, shut down El Habanero restaurant Friday night

On Friday night, Mar. 22, just after 11 p.m., Kent Police officers and detectives served a search warrant on the El Habanero restaurant located at 1819 Meeker Street (map below).

Kent Police say they have responded previously to El Habanero for numerous complaints regarding drugs, guns and shootings, under aged alcohol sales and consumption along with sexual assaults.

Valley SWAT assisted for the service of the warrant, due to past calls involving firearms.

There were two arrests made, and the business was shutdown with no projected date to re-open.

This operation was conducted in cooperation with the City of Kent, Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, Washington State Fish and Wild Life, and the Valley SWAT Team.
