The City of Kent released the following Weather and Road Update at 4:50 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019:

In the last few hours, we have seen precipitation in Kent change from snow to rain to a snow mix across the majority of the City.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Snow on roadways is turning to slush and standing water, so please drive with caution.
  • Public Works crews will continue to plow open primary and secondary routes into the evening, and we anticipate plowing, or removing slush, from our list of closed roadways tonight and into the early morning hours.
  • An update to the road closure list will be emailed via Drive Kent and posted to social media at 4 a.m. Tuesday if there are any changes to the current closures.

Follow our posts on Facebook and Twitter for additional information, including school closures.

As always, drive slowly, leave plenty of room between your vehicle and other vehicles, and be safe out there!
