The ‘Bells of the Sound’ group will be performing at Kent Lutheran Church on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m.

The group is a dynamic force in the handbell world, advancing handbells into the mainstream of entertainment and encouraging composers to create new works for this provocative, exhilarating instrument.

Established to give handbell directors in the Puget Sound area an opportunity to ring, ‘Bells of the Sound’ has since matured into a community ensemble dedicated to musical excellence and the promotion of handbells through exciting performance.

The group now performs on one of the largest sets of handbells in the United States, including 7-1/2 octaves of Malmark handbells, 5 octaves Malmark Choirchimes, 3 1/2 octaves of Petit & Fritsen handbells, and 2 octaves of Silver Melody Bells.
