The Greater Kent Historical Society and Museum’s River Landing Dedication will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m.

“We’d love for you to join us! Mayor Dana Ralph will be there!

“Hops created river roads! How? With hops being picked in the 1880s, river travel allowed them to do so through the White River, which is now The Green River. Roads were built over the river to increase the travel of hops, goods and people.

“I call that Kent progress!”
