Kent Police’s ‘Block Watch 101’ will be Tuesday, Sept. 18

Kent News: Kent police officers shot and killed a 20-year-old Seattle man wanted for violating a no contact domestic violence order after he attempted to flee the scene.

The Kent Police Department’s ‘Block Watch 101’ will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Kent Commons.

“This is great for neighborhoods looking to start a block watch or revive an old one,” police said.

Police will talk about how and why to set a Block Watch up, and will also cover current crime trends.

There will also be an opportunity for Q & A with Neighborhood Response Team Officers and Community Education Coordinators.

“Invite a few neighbors to come with you so they can help out!”

This free event will be held at Kent Commons in the Olympic Room.

Please RSVP to your community education coordinator:
