The City of Kent is seeking Kent residents to fill vacancies on its Bicycle Advisory Board, as well as Parks Commission.

Applications are available online and are due by 5 p.m., August 24, 2018.

The Kent Bicycle Advisory Board meets the last Monday of each month to advise the Kent Mayor and City Council on projects, policies and programs that improve and/or affect bicycling conditions in Kent. Members of the board serve one- or two-year terms.

The Kent Parks Commission meets the fourth Tuesday of each month to provide input on the strategic planning efforts that influence Kent’s parks and recreation system and provide guidance on a variety of related topics. Applications are available online and are due by 5 p.m., August 24, 2018.

“Our boards and commissions are a great way for residents to get involved in areas they’re passionate about,” said Kent Mayor Dana Ralph. “This is how I first got involved with the city, and I am grateful for that experience.”
