Steel Magic Northwest – a local non-profit providing after-school steel band to district kids from 6th grade up – will present their “Here Comes the Sun” spring concert on Thursday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at Sunrise Elementary School (22300 – 132nd Ave. SE, Kent).
The concert will feature a brief warm-up by the school’s choir, the “Steel Sharks” 6th grade ensemble joined by members of the “Pan Police” elementary ensemble from Edmonds, and the advanced “Pan Wizards” secondary level ensemble – a group rapidly gaining regional attention – who will be joined by some of their counterparts from Edmonds as well.
The program ranges from classical music to calypso, with many popular favorites (including “Here Comes the Sun!”).
