At Tuesday night’s special City Council meeting, the Kent City Council reviewed applications submitted by residents to fill the vacant council position 1 left by Tina Budell, who resigned April 13.
Thirty-six applications were submitted by the April 20 deadline, but one applicant withdrew her application from consideration over the weekend.
The Council voted to interview the following candidates:
- Hira Singh Bhullar
- Suzanne Cameron
- Lee Ann Dickson
- Sara Denise Henrietta Franklin
- Marli Larimer
- Zandria Michaud
- Mizanur Rahman
- William Shorr
The candidates will be interviewed and appointed at a later date.
Once selected, Mayor Dana Ralph will swear in the new Councilmember.
