Our friends at the Kent Downtown Partnership want to remind all to save Friday evening, June 1 to “raise your auction paddle and support the installation of a Lunar Rover replica in a downtown park.”

First built in Kent by the Boeing Company in 1969, and traveling to the moon on Apollo Missions 15, 16 and 17, it is this legacy of innovation that fosters community pride, honors our past, fuels our kids’ imaginations and inspires us to imagine what’s possible in the future.

This event will run from 5:30 – 9 p.m. at the accesso ShoWare Center, located at 625 W. James Street.

“Join us and help create a more vibrant downtown!”
