The King County Sheriff’s Office seized over 7,600 marijuana plants and arrested 10 people in a two-day sting operation last week in Kent, Renton, Federal Way, Auburn, Pacific, Seattle and unincorporated King County.

King County Sheriff Detectives served 18 search warrants on illegal marijuana grow houses and two storage units over two days.

During the course of these search warrants, 7,634 marijuana plants valued over $7.6 million, along with 783 pounds of processed marijuana valued at $2.35 million were recovered.

Total value of marijuana seized was $9,984,500.

Additionally, detectives seized 10 homes, 4 vehicles, a 32 foot RV, and over $200,000.00 in cash all related to illegal marijuana grows and sales.

Ten adults were booked into King County Jail for drug related charges.

All of the search warrants served in this operation were of illegal grow locations.

The marijuana itself is suspected of being distributed to the east coast.
