The City of Kent Human Services Commission has released its 2019/2020 Request for Proposals for human services.

As a member of the Human Service Funders Collaborative, Kent is participating in a joint application process with 16 other cities located in King County.

The Human Service Funders Collaborative representing the participating King County municipalities will open the 2019/2020 funding process on March 5, 2018. Human services providers will be able to submit one application to any of the 17 cities online at www.share1app.org. Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

Commissioners will review the submitted application between April and June and present funding recommendations to the Mayor in early July. Factors beyond quality of the application that Commissioners also consider include: identified needs in the community, focus areas, how the program meets the funding priorities set in Building a Health Community: City of Kent Human Services Master Plan, cost effectiveness and efficiency, prior performance, and consideration of the broad continuum of human services.

Agencies interested in applying for funds are encouraged to attend one of the Human Services Funder’s Collaborative Workshops. The workshops will cover application content, technical details, and city-specific information.

  • Workshop 1: Wednesday, March 7, 10 a.m. to noon at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St, Redmond
  • Workshop 2: Thursday, March 8, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Renton City Hall, 1055 S. Grady Way, Renton
