The Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP), is seeking public feedback on the city’s downtown.
KDP recently became a Downtown Neighborhood Association, and the group wants to “get to know all our neighbors and work on projects in the downtown that will impact all of us in a positive way.”
One of those ways is by providing an atmosphere in our downtown that is representative of how much we all care about it.
“We would like to find out from you what are the top five violations you feel are the most prevalent in your neighborhood (includes downtown) that you would like Code Enforcement and KDP to work on?”
This might include accumulated garbage and debris, overgrown weeds, junk vehicles, peeling paint, etc.
“We are looking for common issues that are found in various locations,” Barbara Smith, KDP Executive Director, said.
Organizers’ hope is to work on these concerns during KDP’s annual clean-up day – Team-up 2 Clean Up – on May 12. Volunteers are needed on that day from 8 a.m. – Noon, and are asked to meet at the corner of Kherson Park, Gowe & 2nd Avenue. You can register at the email below.
Please send your list of five (or register to Volunteer) to [email protected].
Or, if you prefer, you can mail your list to Kent Downtown Partnership, 202 W Gowe Street, Suite A, Kent WA 98032. You are welcome to drop off your lists as well to this address. KDP will share your comments with Code Enforcement and see what we can all do.
“We look forward to hearing from you.”
