Monday morning (Feb. 19) at 12:50 am, Kent Police responded to 25319 29th Ave S. (map below) for a report of a drive-by shooting which resulted in a 21-year old female Kent resident getting shot in the head, just behind her ear.

Police say that the victim was in her bedroom when multiple shots were fired into the home.

Two other adults and a baby were in the home as well, but not injured.

Medics and police provided first aid to the victim, and shortly thereafter she was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Her injury was classified as non-critical.

According to investigators, it appears that this home was specifically targeted, however the reasoning at this time is unknown.

“We have no suspect information, and very limited information to go off of this time,” said Detective Melanie Robinson.

Kent Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or the Kent Police tip line at 253-856-5808.
