A free ‘Out of the Darkness’ event will be held on Thursday, March 1, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum.

Here’s more info from a Facebook event post:

Recent events have brought us to realize that depression can strike anyone at any time, often times we as the survivors ask “Why”? How could this happen to him or her? Why couldn’t we see that they were struggling with depression?

These are the questions we must seek help with, to begin to understand, and to begin the healing process.

On March 1st the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum will be hosting an event with some very special speakers, this is a free event that we encourage you all to attend and please bring any friends that are interested.

It’s time to bring this dreadful disease out of the darkness and into the daylight so we all can begin to understand how to recognize it and offer help.

We hope to see all of you there…
