A Severe Weather Shelter will be open this Sunday, Feb. 18 through Tuesday night, Feb. 20 at Kent Lutheran Church.

The shelter will open on Sunday evening, and organizers are anticipating serving dinner by 7:30 p.m.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are needed to serve and/or bring dinner on Sunday and Tuesday night, as well as breakfast each morning.

“We need someone to wash linens each day,” Organizers said. “We will also need lunch fixings/snacks (fruit/small oranges, juice boxes, small waters), milk, and bread. Thank you to a large donation of lunch meat and cheese, we have plenty for lunches the entire week. Socks, gloves, and hand warmers are also greatly appreciated. If you wish to make a casserole dish that can be kept in the freezer for future use, or combined with a dish from someone else, we would love to have it. Favorite dishes include chili, tuna casserole, tator tot casserole, lasagna, baked spaghetti, etc. Breakfast casseroles work well too!”
