David Warren Marshall, 19, of Federal Way was arrested for vehicular homicide and arson.

At approximately 3 PM on July 13, 2017, an arrest was made in the fatal hit and run collision which occurred on April 16, 2017 SB SR 167 to SR 18.

This case involved a white Ford Crown Victoria which struck and killed a pedestrian that was walking away from a disabled vehicle. The Crown Victoria was subsequently located after it had been set on fire in a Seattle neighborhood.

The Washington State Department of Corrections Southwest Region Community Response Unit along with the United States Marshall’s Service, WSP Swat and detectives from the WSP Criminal Investigation Division made the arrest yesterday in Federal Way. David Warren Marshall, 19, of Federal Way was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of Vehicular Homicide and Arson. Marshall was also booked on two warrants, one was for a felony weapons violation and the other was for a felony narcotics violation.

The Washington State Patrol would like to express its great appreciation for the incredible job the Criminal Investigation Division detectives did in this case and the assistance from the other agencies mentioned above. Without their help, the arrest and closure would not have been possible.
