Vehicle Was Stolen

Yesterday evening around 10:30 PM, Kent Police patrol officers found an occupied, stolen vehicle near the intersection of 64th Avenue South and South 212th Street in the Kent Valley.

Officers tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, but it fled the scene on 64th Avenue South. After a brief pursuit, the driver lost control of the stolen vehicle, hitting a tree in the 23700 block of 64th Avenue South.

There were three subjects inside the stolen vehicle who were all transported to the hospital with serious injuries, Kent Police said. The driver has been identified as a 25-year-old Redmond man. 64th Avenue South was closed between South 236th Street and West James Street while the collision was investigated.
