Donald Trumps wins the Nov. 2016 General Election for president.NEW–SKC Post Election Conversation, Tues., Nov. 28

Join members of the South King County community tomorrow night (6:30 PM – 9 PM) in Auburn (1015 24th Ave. St. NE) to talk about the presidential election and president-elect Donald Trump and what it means for our local communities. NEW–Hooliday Owls at Kent Station, Nov. 26-Jan 2.
Have a little extra fun this holiday season with Hooliday Owls at Kent Station. The outdoor shopping and lifestyle center has 14 owls scattered around Kent Station, each with a letter on it. HomeStreet Bank Hosts Toy Drive through Dec. 9HomeStreet Bank Hosts Toy Drive Til Dec. 9
HomeStreet Bank in downtown Kent (505 W. Harrison St.) is hosting a toy drive to the Children’s Home Society of Washington. The bank is requesting donations of new toys and books for children from newborn through age 12. Donations can be dropped off at the downtown Kent branch during normal business hours. NEW–Kentlake Drama Presents ‘A Christmas Story: The Musical’
In an interesting twist on the holiday classic, ‘A Christmas Story,’ Kentlake Drama presents a musical version Dec. 1-3 and Dec. 8-10. Book by Josheph Robinett, Music and Lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Click here for tickets and directions.

Kent Event: Kentridge Players Present 'A Year with Frog and Toad'NEW–Kentridge Players Present ‘A Year with Frog and Toad’
Kentridge High School is also hosting a holiday production, starting this week. Written by Robert and Willie Reale, the musical celebration is based on the popular ‘Frog and Toad’ kids’ books written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. The show will run Nov. 3-Dec. 3 and Dec. 7-10. Kent Commons’ Holiday Bazaar is Coming Up: Dec. 2-3
The City of Kent is hosting its annual holiday bazaar at Kent Commons (525 N. 4th Ave., Kent, WA) on Friday, Dec. 2 (10 AM – 5 PM) and Saturday, Dec. 3 (9 AM to 4 PM). The two-day event will feature more than 100 vendors with unique, handcrafted items perfect for gift giving this holiday season. Click here for more information.

NEW–Scenic Hill PTA Hosts Winter Craft Bazaar on Sat., Dec. 3
The Scenic Hill PTA is hosting its annual Winter Craft Bazaar from 9 AM to 2 PM in the Scenic Hill Elementary gym. Admission is free. The City of Kent is seeking volunteers for the Arts Commission, Bicycle Advisory Board, Human Services Commission, Land Use and Planning Board, and Parks and Recreation. Applications are due by Fri., Dec. 9 at 5 PM. See our post for details.

Register Now for 34th Annual Christmas Rush 5K/10K Run/Walk, Dec. 10
Get in the holiday spirit while enjoying the fresh air and competition at the city’s 34th Annual Christmas Rush Fun Run on Sat., Dec. 10. Their will be two separate loops for the 5K and 10K that will only intersect at the last 100 yards of the race. The race begins and ends at Hogan Park (24400 Russell Rd., Kent, WA). Learn more now.

Tacoma StarsTacoma Stars to Host Youth Soccer Night on Sat., Dec. 10
