Public Works has issued some travel advisories for upcoming road work.

Monday, May 23
Duration: 6 months (weekdays 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Starting Monday, May 23, 2016 drivers should expect short, intermittent travel time delays on West Valley Hwy weekdays near S 262nd St between 7a.m. and 4p.m. The City is improving a Mill Creek Side Channel to increase rearing and flood refuge habitat for juvenile salmonids. Trucks will be entering and leaving the roadway at S 262nd St.

June 25th, 7 AM
Duration: 7 days (June 25-July 1)

James St. construction and placement of the pump station vault requires a road closure between Woodford Ave N and Jason Ave N. The contractor will close the road starting Saturday, June 25th 2016. The length of the closure could last up to 7 consecutive calendar days. There will be a posted detour route. Road users should expect travel time delays and increased vehicle volumes on roadways near the closure. Please follow the posted detour route.

June 6, 7 AM to 4 PM
Duration: Weekdays through September 2016

Starting Monday, June 6, 2016 through September 2016. Pacific Hwy S (SR 99) between Kent-Des Moines Road and S. 272nd St. will have week day left lane closures between the hours of 7AM to 4PM. The left lane closures are needed to safely repair and plant the center medians. Expect travel time delays in the area.

Duration: 2 weeks

One lane closures on Reith between Lake Fenwick and 253rd, continuing for the next two weeks during business hours for pavement work.
