SAVE THE DATE: The 8th annual Kent International Festival, a celebration of Kent’s cultural diversity, returns to ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington on Saturday, June 4, 2016. This year’s theme: Learn from Each Other.

Expected to draw a crowd of 8,000 from in and around Kent, this year’s international festival will kick off with a World Wide Walk to ShoWare Center, starting at the Kent Farmer’s Market and the Kent Library at Smith and Second Streets in downtown Kent. Once the walkers arrive at ShoWare, the Kent International Festival will begin.

This popular community event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features international entertainment on three stages, including ethnic dance, musical performances and native attire.

In addition, the Kent International Festival offers interactive cultural passport booths, cultural retail booths and delicious authentic cuisine at the Taste of Kent International Food Court (11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).

From 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., there will be a World Dance Party outside on the ShoWare plaza, followed by the Festival Finale indoors from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
