Airways Brewery & Bistro: A Nice Change of Pace

Yesterday while making some welcome visits for Kent Downtown Partnership, a friend and I stopped at Airways Brewery & Bistro (320 W. Harrison) to get out of the rain. Though I know the owners, Alex & Dione Ditmar (see below), I don’t think to stop there because I am not a beer drinker. I am so glad we did though. We enjoyed a glass of 14 Hands Cabernet Sauvignon and deliciously, fresh sandwiches with side salads. Don’t take my word for it though…take a peek!

The caprese panini I had was hands down the best I have ever tasted. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was lightly toasted, the cheese was melted just right! A wonderful way to warm up on a cold, rainy day! Airways Brewery & Bistro is open for lunch and dinnerĀ  Tuesday through Saturday (must be 21 or older). Check out their online menu for a sampling of all of their yummy offerings, including vegetarian options! If you’re a wine drinker, the bistro has a small selection of boutique wines – all from Washington. If you’re a beer drinker though, you’ll be in heaven. They have 12 draught beers on tap including Airways own brew and a rotating selection of Washington beers. Airways also has a Tap Room at its original location, off West Valley Highway. It’s open Wednesday through Saturday.

Two thumbs up!

Here’s Dione at work, serving up great conversation and one of Airways’ own brews for a customer.
