Puget Sound Bead Festival: July 9 – 11, 2009

BEADSHOW3Sponsored by The Bead Factory, the Puget Sound Bead Festival – the largest bead festival on the west coast – is scheduled for July 9 – 11 at Hotel Murano Bicentennial Pavilion (1320 Broadway, Tacoma). Now in its 14th year, the festival will feature 120 classes, 125 vendors and is expecting more than 10,000 visitors from around the world.

The festival kicks off Thursday, July 9th with workshops, a special “show preview” of the sales floor for registered students where they can purchase from exhibitors before anyone else, “Teachers’ Showcase” where attendees can meet the instructors, sign up for workshops, and purchase kits from their favorite teachers.  The show then opens to the public July 10th-12th, 2009, with show hours 10am-6pm Friday and Saturday, and 11am-5pm Sunday.  Admission is $7 at the door, and is good for all three days.  Teachers’ Showcase and Student Preview admission $15, includes show admission.

With projected gas price increases between now and the show, more and more attendees are registering for our exclusive Puget Sound Bead Festival shuttle from Northgate or South Center to the show as a more economical option.  Shuttles run twice each day Friday and Saturday, with one trip scheduled for Sunday.  Round-trip fare is $15 and includes show admission.

For more information, go online to www.pugetsoundbeadfestival.com or call 888-500-BEAD.
