Every couple of weeks a friend and I decide to try a new restaurant in Kent so I can review and blog on it. Yes, writing for ilovekent.net has many perks and this is one. This week: Archa Thai Bistro, located on Meeker. It blends in well with the rest of the businesses on the street with that cute, old, downtown look. Inside is completely unexpected. It is very quaint with a sense of elegance; nothing you would expect from a small Thai restaurant. Each table has a long antique looking table cloth with cloth napkins wrapped in beautiful little napkin rings. It sort of reminds me of my Great Aunt’s house. You know, that house you loved to visit growing up but were never allowed to touch anything because you may break it. With it being less of a take-out and more of a dining experience, I was expecting the prices to be a little higher and I was very wrong. I ordered a curry chicken dish that came with a generous portion of Pad Thai and an egg roll. They asked what spicy level I would like and I asked for a three and it actually was a three, perfect. Everything was excellent and more than I could eat. I was very impressed. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant and the food was delectable. It is the perfect place for a girl’s lunch or a networking meeting. I would highly recommend Archa Thai Bistro to anyone who enjoys Thai food.
