<p><strong><a href="http://www.4culture.org/" target="_blank">4Culture</a></strong> is a unique integration of the arts, heritage, preservation and public art, committed to advancing community through culture.  4Culture believes the arts are critical to a healthy community and that arts experiences should be accessible to all residents and visitors.  4Culture stimulates cultural activities and enhances the assets that distinguish a community as vibrant, unique and authentic.</p>
<p>The Heritage Cultural Facilities program funds projects providing strong heritage programming that focuses on the identification, collection, evaluation, preservation, restoration, exhibition, and/or interpretation of the County&#8217;s heritage resources.</p>
<p>The Arts Cultural Facilities program supports the purchase, development and renovation of arts and cultural facility projects.  A separate program provides funding for arts equipment.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.ilovekent.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/art.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-4945" title="art" src="http://www.ilovekent.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/art-300x172.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="172" /></a><strong><a href="http://www.4culture.org/" target="_blank">4Culture</a> seeks media artworks for e4c, a storefront gallery for electronic art. </strong>Visible by foot, bike, car or bus to more than 20,000 people each day, e4c exhibits selected artworks from regional and national artists, on rotation, from 7 am &#8211; 10 am daily.</p>
<p>Up to sixteen media works or media proposals will be selected for presentation through this public, gallery for a period of up to one year. Due to the transitory nature of the audience, works between 1-5 minutes are desired. Media artists, residing in the U.S., working in all genres are encouraged to apply.</p>
<p>The application deadline is Wednesday, May 25, 2011. <a href="http://www.4culture.org/e4c/apply.htm" target="_blank">Guidelines and applications, which include information about eligibility and review criteria, are available online</a>.</p>
<p>e4c is located adjacent to Gallery4Culture facing Prefontaine Place South in Seattle&#8217;s Pioneer Square neighborhood. e4c consists of four, LCD monitors and two speakers mounted to face the exterior of the building, broadcasting sights and sounds to passers-by.</p>
<p>Selected artists will work with the e4c program manager to adapt selected work for optimal presentation. e4c utilizes software with a timeline interface, which is distributed through a network to the display monitors and speakers. The selected artists will also work with the e4c program manager to create promotional materials. Each selected artist will receive a modest honorarium to help defray expenses. The artists retain all rights of the works submitted.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>4CULTURE SUSTAINED SUPPORT FUNDING AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE OPERATING SUPPORT FOR KING COUNTY ARTS AND HERITAGE ORGANIZATIONS</strong></p>
<p>Application Deadline is Monday, December 7, 2009</p>
<p><em>(King County)</em> &#8211; 4Culture is pleased to announce that applications are available for the 2010 Sustained Support program, a funding opportunity for arts and heritage organizations, with a deadline of Monday, December 7, 2009.</p>
<p>The Sustained Support Program seeks to provide financial support to organizations who maintain a consistent level of programmatic activity, community impact and organizational stability. In 2009, 4Culture distributed $1,883,000 to over 240 organizations through the Sustained Support Program. Eligible arts organizations include arts organizations based in King County with a minimum of three years experience presenting or producing arts programs for King County residents.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Eligibility for local arts agencies includes not-for-profit organizations or official units of municipal government based in suburban or rural King County and specifically dedicated to providing arts services for its residents. Eligible heritage organizations include heritage organizations with a minimum two-year history of operating a heritage facility focusing on the histories of King County’s people and places. For more information about eligibility requirements, all potential applicants should carefully review the online guidelines.</p>
<p>Free public workshops will be held, offering prospective applicants an opportunity to meet with program staff and other applicants, understand specific guidelines, and walk through a step-by-step review of the application process.</p>
<p>•             Arts Sustained Support workshops will be held every Tuesday, from noon – 1pm through December 1, 2009 at 4Culture’s Offices, 101 Prefontaine Place South in Seattle.</p>
