Dr. Roger White, D.C. Opens New Practice in Kent: Kent Station Chiropractic & Massage

Kent, Washington, October 13, 2011 – After 35 years in practice, Dr. Roger White, D.C. has moved his chiropractic and massage office to Kent Station to be closer to his patients. Opening on September 26, Kent Station Chiropractic and Massage is a full-service chiropractic office offering a range of chiropractic services including initial consultations, exams and treatment.

As a whole body family practitioner, Dr. White offers nutrition counseling and treats all conditions including injuries from motor vehicle accidents, labor and industry claims and sports-related injuries. In addition, Jessica Banks-Frazee, a licensed massage therapist, provides massage services at Kent Station Chiropractic and Massage. Banks-Frazee specializes in deep tissue massage to treat personal injuries.

Prior to moving his office to Kent, Dr. White worked in Renton for 27 years and Auburn for five. In between his time in Renton and Auburn, Dr. White retired. He returned to work five years ago because he believes in the need for quality chiropractic care.

“I care a great deal about people,” Dr. White says. “I missed taking care of them, so I came back to work.”

Kent Station Chiropractic & Massage is located on Ramsay Way between Kent Station Family Dentistry and Green River Community College. The 2,000 square foot office is open 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 9 am to noon by appointment. To introduce the office to the community, Dr. White is planning a Grand Opening event for Saturday, November 5 from 9 am to noon.

PetSmart Hosts National Adoption Weekend at Sunrise Village, Sept. 9 – 11

Puyallup, Washington, August 29, 2011 – If you’ve been looking for the right pet for your family, be sure to attend the three-day pet adoption event being held at PetSmart (10309 156th St. E., Puyallup) in Sunrise Village September 9 – 11, 2011. The National Adoption Weekend is proudly sponsored by PetSmart, Purina Pro Plan and Purina Tidy Cats. The goal of this event is to help find thousands of pets a lifelong, loving home.

The event is part of PetSmart Charities’ National Adoption Weekend. In the 20 years that PetSmart has been hosting such events; over 4.5 million pets have been adopted.

“It is part of PetSmart’s mission to serve as an avenue for rescue agencies to place dogs and cats in loving homes,” says Puyallup store manager Steve Hollis. 

During the event, PetSmart expects to place 40 to 50 pets, all of which come from rescue agencies throughout the area, including Puyallup Animal Rescue. There is a fee to adopt the pets ranging from $80 to $200, depending on the pet. Most of the pets have up-to-date shots and have been spayed or neutered. In addition, on Saturday, September 10, Banfield Veterinary Services will be available to answer your pet questions.

Pet Adoption Hours are Friday, September 9, 12 pm – 4 pm, Saturday, September 10, 9 am – 4 pm, and Sunday, September 11, 10 am – 4 pm.

Pet Adoption Event @ VCA Kent Animal Hosp. TODAY, Aug. 28

VCA Kent Animal Hospital is hosting a Pet Adoption Event on Sun., Aug. 28, 10 am to 4 pm.

Guests can meet pets available for adoption, visit pet vendor booths and stop at the “Ask the Vet” booth to talk to one of VCA’s trained veterinarians. In addition, VCA will have face painting, giveaways for pets and people and raffles to win vet discounts, dog training classes, toys, treats and flea products. Attendance is free, so bring your family to choose the right pet for you!

Also, VCA will offer $25 microchips and $10 nail trims during the event. All new clients and all animals adopted at the fair can get a coupon for a free exam.
