A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train near 1st Ave S. & W. Willis Street in Kent Tuesday morning, July 27.

Kent Police told I Love Kent that the call came in just before 8 a.m., on the BNSF tracks.

The deceased is a male, but his name has not yet been released.

This is a developing story; as we learn more we’ll update this post…

Eric Galiato sent out this Tweet from inside the train:

The City of Kent also sent out an alert about full road closures on W. Willis Street between 1st Ave S. and Railroad Ave S., and also on S. 259th Street at the BNSF railroad crossing located at 1st Ave S.
