On Tuesday, June 4, Kent Police Detectives were conducting an investigation into a suspect who resides in Federal Way when the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police believed the suspect was inside a home in the 30600 block of 8th Ave. SW (map below), and heard a single gunshot from the residence.
Valley SWAT and Negotiators were called to make sure neighbors remained safe as the team attempted to contact the suspect. SWAT officers entered the residence and located the suspect deceased of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Kent Detectives will continue with their investigation.
