The annual ‘Relay for Life’ cancer fundraiser will be held Friday, June 7 through Saturday, June 8 at French Field in Kent, and organizers are expecting more than 750 people to join them.

Opening ceremony begins Friday at 6 p.m., and the entire event goes overnight until Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

Last year the American Cancer Society was able to invest more than $150 million in cancer research, provide free rides to chemo and places to stay near hospitals, educate people about the disease as well as find ways to help reduce their risk, and so much more!

“We’re leading the fight for a world without cancer – a disease that touches us all,” organizers said.

Last year, some changes were made to the event, combining several smaller Relay for Life communities into one large event now called the ‘Relay for Life of South King County’ that covers all areas from Kent, Maple Valley, Covington, Black Diamond, Enumclaw,  Federal Way, Auburn, Burien, and Des Moines!
