If you’re interested in trying to help save the new Dick’s Drive-In – and other businesses in Kent – from the Sound Transit wrecking ball, the next opportunity to comment is this Wednesday, Mar. 20, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Mt. Olympus Room in Highline College’s Building 8.

As many of our Readers may recall, Sound Transit is considering tearing down the new Dick’s, along with Lowes and other small businesses on Pacific Highway South on Kent’s west hill, to make room for a new operations and maintenance facility (OMF).

“Attend an open house to learn more, ask questions and share your concerns about the right site for the OMF.”

Comment on site options to study in the EIS, areas of the natural and built environment to evaluate, and the Purpose and Need Statements for the OMF South. Sound Transit will include all comments received in a scoping summary report that will be used in the decision making process.
