The Community Police Academy, which starts Wednesday, April 3, is your chance to get a behind the scenes look at what goes on at our police department.

Some of the classes involve The Constitution, SWAT, K9, Gangs, FATS, a Mock Crime Scene and much more.

“You won’t want to miss it!”

This is a 10 week class that meets EVERY Wednesday from 6:30 – 9 p.m., where you can get the inside scoop!

Opening class is Wednesday, April 3 with graduation on Wednesday, June 5.

There are two Saturday sessions, the first will be on May 11, which will include optional tours of the City of Kent Correctional Facility (Kent jail) and Valley Communications Center (9-1-1 facility), and the second on June 1 , with topics on K9/detectives/evidence/crime scenes.

It will be held at the Kent Police/Fire Training Center, located at 24523 116th Ave SE.
