Donors are needed for a Blood Drive on Thursday, April 19 at Green River College at Kent Station.

Did you know that every 2 seconds someone in the US is in need of blood? Or that a single car accident victim can require 100 pints of blood? Or that just 1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives?

Donating blood can take less than 10 minutes but can make a difference for someone for the rest of their life.

“Be a difference maker and donate!”

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.:

WHEN: Thursday, April 19th 8:30am-2:30pm (closed 10:30-11:30)

WHERE: Green River College in Rooms 322 and 323

SIGN UP: Sign up to save 3 lives: click here or call 1-800-398-7888. Please remember to eat a good meal, drink plenty of water, and bring a photo I.D.Thank you from all of us at Bloodworks NW for your support in this life-saving mission.

WHY: Because every two seconds someone in Western Washington needs blood. Although 38% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate at any given time, less than 10% actually does each year.

How is my gift used? After donation, your volunteered blood is separated into three components (plasma, platelets, and red cells). These components are then transfused to a patient who may need either a combination of these components or a single component. This is how your donation can save up to three lives!

BloodworksNW donations are distributed to 70 hospitals and clinics in western Washington.

BloodworksNW is a nonprofit, volunteer based blood center, serving our community for over 75 years.
