City Seeks Public Input on Meet Me on Meeker Concept
The City’s Economic Development Department wants the public’s input on the Meet Me on Meeker concept, a plan to rebuild the commercial corridor along Meeker Street from downtown Kent to Hwy. 516 and I-5. Review the plan, as presented to Kent City Council in December, here.

Kent News: Kent Firefighters and Donors Delivered More than 6,000 Toys this Chirstmas.Kent Firefighters Collect, Wrap & Deliver 6,000+ Toys
With the help of volunteers, the Kent Regional Fire Authority, the Kent Firefighters Foundation and Firefighters Local 1747 collected, wrapped and delivered 6,000 toys to more than 2,000 kids in the Kent, Covington and SeaTac area this Christmas. iLoveKent to Host First Reader Meetup Sat., Jan. 7
We’ve got the details finalized for our first reader meetup. The event will be at Down Home Catering (211 First Ave. S., Kent, WA 98032) at 10 AM. The event will go from 10 AM to Noon, but you can drop in at whatever time works for you. Mark Your Calendars: Kent Schools’ Technology Expo is Jan. 19

You don’t want to miss the Kent School District’s annual Tech Expo. This year’s event is scheduled for Thurs., Jan. 19 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at ShoWare Center. Last year more than 4,200 participants visit the Expo to learn more about technology from 800 students, and 154 teachers at 102 booths. Get more info. here.
