Kent offers summer camps for kids and teens

Kent offers summer camps and field trips for kids and teens.

Teenagers entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade this fall can look forward to field trips, sports, games and adventures to keep them active all summer.  

Teen Camp is held every weekday from June 23 until August 15, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mill Creek Middle School.    

Camp W.A.L.K.A.P.A.L.A. and its variety of sports, arts and crafts and field trips designed especially for K-6th graders is held every weekday from June 23 until August 8 at Kent Elementary School and August 11 – 15 at Kent Parks Community Center from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.  

According to youth and teen Program Coordinator Dave Hobbs, kids can look forward to days filled with numerous activities. “From beaches to baseball games, we’ve got a fun line up and a great summer planned,” Hobbs said.

With the exception of the July 4 holiday week ($134), fees are $165 per week

June 23–27 – Northwest Trek and Alki Beach                                       

June 30 – July 3rd* – Pacific Science Center & Interurban Trail              

July 7–11 – Seattle Waterfront and Salt Water State Park       

July 14–18 – Seattle Storm and Redondo Beach                        

July 21–25 – GameWorks and Gene Coulon Beach                             

July 28- Aug 1 – Tacoma Rainiers and Steel Lake                           

Aug 4–8 – Safeco Field and Ballard Locks                   

Aug 11–15 – EMP and Lake Meridian                                         

* No camp July 4

* No camp July 4 


All weekly camp fees include field trips, snacks and lunch provided by the Kent School District.  Scholarships are available for those who qualify.
